This page tells you a little about how Partners started.
Partners is one of a small number of organisations in Scotland that offer personalised support – support that is specially designed and organised for each individual.
The first organisation to do this in Scotland was Inclusion Glasgow. At first, Partners was based in Inclusion Glasgow and supported just one person in North Ayrshire. It has grown by supporting one more person at a time.
Partners for Inclusion now supports 45 people. Each person has their own home. They get support from their own staff who generally live nearby.
You can read more about Partners’ work – including its history – in Personalised Support, a book about Partners by Julia Fitzpatrick.
