Support Worker for Callum (LM/CB)

Callum is a young man who lives in his own home in the East Renfrewshire area. Callum is a pretty independent person, and has developed skills around his house and getting out and about in his local community. Callum is fairly active and loves being outdoors walking and running, going swimming and using trampolines. Callum is also comfortable in his own space using his iPad.

The responsibilities you will have when supporting Callum are with all aspects of his life, in particular, with medication, finances and keeping him safe and healthy.

  • Forward thinking and keen to try new things
  • Having a good sense of humour, not being self conscious or easily offended
  • Ability to naturally reassure, make him feel safe, and not show anxieties
  • Being an outdoor person
  • Being comfortable with Callum in your personal space when he initiates contact
  • Ability to be caring but firm
  • Not being tempted to tidy up for Callum, but being able to support and promote his independence, while respecting he likes things in a certain way

Requirements for this vacancy

You must hold a current, full UK driving license.
