Support Practitioners (LS/LL)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our growing organisation.  At Linking Lives we offer small packages of support ranging from 1 to 45 hours per week.  We are passionate about providing true person centred support and are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.  We are recruiting for a 20 hour variable post across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.  This post requires a driver who can drive a wheelchair accessible mobility car.  This post also requires sleepovers.
This position is supporting 3 young men at different times who all have different interests and hobbies and also require different levels of support.

Your tasks will vary depending on who you are supporting so you should be able to adapt and use different skills during your work.

Some supports will be going to the gym, supporting to work, drives in the car, lunches, going to the pub, concerts, horticulture, socialising and seeking new opportunities.

 

Requirements for this vacancy

For this position you must hold a current UK license and be able to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

This position comes under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order).

In line with the Scottish Social Services Council you will be required to have or work towards an appropriate qualification in order to register with them. You will require to be registered with the PVG scheme before being employed with our organisation.
