Support Worker for David (CP/JN)

We are looking for a Support Worker who can become part of a new service based in East Renfrewshire. This is a new service that will provide active and personalised support for David. David is a young man in his thirties and is looking for someone to help him become more active in his new community, develop new and exciting social and learning opportunities, discover new places in his car, and to make new friends to share his life with.

It is very important for David to maintain close family relationships. Also to be supported to form new friendships and to develop these appropriately as well as maintaining good relationships with his existing friends. David’s team will have his best interests at heart and are consistent in providing him with a stable supportive environment; they will support David to make choices in his life that makes sense to him.

  2. Hours: 12 Hrs and casual contract’s available, shift work may include evening, weekends, and public holidays
  3. Rate of Pay: £8:25 – pending pay review, plus overnight payment
  4. Area: East Renfrewshire,

  • SVQ 3 Level 2/3 in Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this

You can only be appointed for this post if you are registered with the Protection of vulnerable Groups Scheme and are able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council when required for your post.

This position comes under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order).
