Support Practitioner (SG/LL/LS)

We are looking for a support worker to join our team who support a gentleman living in the Renfrew area.An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a small team supporting a young man who is moving back to Paisley following a few years spent in many different support settings throughout Scotland. Scott will be moving in to his own tenancy and will be looking for a few hours of support including 2 hours morning and evening each day and also 4-5 hours in the afternoon or evening for social support 2-3 times a week. This is an exciting time for Scott however the changes will be a big challenge for him therefore he needs people who can be confident and consistent to support him during this transition.  Scott would like people who will commit to supporting him to become more independent and meet his outcomes in life.
Scott likes humour and a bit of banter, he enjoys spending time on his PS4, go-karting, going to football matches, he has an interest in trucking and also enjoys socialising and going for pub lunches.  Scott is looking for people with similar interests to become part of his team.

Requirements for this vacancy

It would be helpful for this position if you have knowledge and/or experience in supporting people with learning disabilities.  Due to the nature of the support you need to be able to not take things personally.
