*Female Support Practitioner for Freda

Freda has a learning disability and mental health issues and has enjoyed living in her own home in Ayr for the last 8 years. Freda is a chatty sociable woman who enjoys going out for coffee, meeting up with friends, keeping in touch with her family, and relaxing at home watching her favourite T.V programmes, cooking and looking after her house, and going on holidays. Freda is an extremely independent woman who is very able to make decision about her life, however can at times be very direct in her approach

Freda needs Support staff who are able to encourage her independence, can maintain boundaries, are friendly and chatty, able to understand and communicate with her when she is feeling unsure and anxious. It is also important that Freda’s team members are consistent in their approach, able to follow direction, are reliable, flexible and wholly committed to providing an excellent self managed support service.
