Hi, I am 19 years old…
Right now, I am in hospital, but I am looking for people to support me to leave there and move back to my family home. I prefer some of my team to have experience in support work, as there are times when I get upset and it makes me more confident to know that my team members know how to support me to feel better.
Just now I am looking for team members to spend time getting to know me whilst in hospital, support me in the hospital grounds and café, and then progress to support me out and about in the local area. To help make me feel safe I will have two team members working with me when in the community.
When I return to my family home, I will have a pod in the back garden where I will have my own space to spend with my team. We will be able to play games on my Wii, arts and crafts as well as various other activities when we aren’t out exploring. I will need support from two team members to go out and about to groups and familiar places I like to visit.
I really like being outdoors but there hasn’t been much chance to do that while I’m in hospital. Although I have been working on this and I am enjoying going for walks around the hospital grounds with 1 staff member and visiting the café / shop for treats.
I have always enjoyed sailing and have spent lots of time with my family around boats, especially yachts.
I like acting and playing different roles so my team members would need to be ok with being a bit silly at times. I love watching videos on YouTube, whether it be watching emergency service vehicles, trains or dancing.
If you are a bit of a DIY enthusiast, then there may be room on my team for you, I like fixing things, painting and general DIY.
What have you got to lose?
Apply now and support me to live my best life.
