Do you want to be a trustee of an organisation making a real difference in people’s lives?

We are looking for new trustees to join our Board on a voluntary basis who share our view that people with disabilities should enjoy the same Human Rights as the rest of society which includes the right to choose with whom you live.

If you share these values, you don’t need to have any specific experience of the social care sector. We would particularly welcome those with skills or experience in Finance, Legal, Information Technology or Marketing services.

Partners for Inclusion Group became an independent charity in 2004 providing tailor-made support for people who have learning disabilities or mental health difficulty, or both. Before Self-Directed Support became a requirement, Partners for Inclusion were one of a small number of organisations that was already putting people in control of their own lives. Partners for Inclusion have supported many people who in the past were described as ‘challenging’, or who had a long history of being excluded and not had a chance to live an ordinary life.

Working closely with families, each person has a person-centred service design, a team specifically recruited for and with the person, with funding ring fenced around the individual.

Our focus is not on growing the organisation but helping the people we support grow.

Our Board meet usually early evening 3 times per year in Kilmarnock with a further 1 day AGM and planning annually.
