Lorna lives in Ayr and enjoys shopping, going out and about in her local community, the cinema and theatre and eating out. Lorna enjoys knitting and other crafts and would like support to learn more crafting skills. Lorna also enjoys playing board games and cards. Lorna also has a cat which she loves.
Lorna is looking for a support worker who:

- Is able to see the “real” Lorna
- Is able to stick to boundaries
- Is a quick thinker
- Has a positive outlook
- Is a good clear communicator
- Is alert
- Is approachable
Essential for the role is that you can demonstrate the following:
- Work in a person centred way
- Understand the importance of family involvement and multi-agency working
- An understanding all behaviour is communication
- Work as part of a small team
Desirable
- An understanding or experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities
- SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this
This is a really exciting and interesting opportunity for the right person. The post involves days and evenings.
