Lorna lives in Ayr and enjoys shopping, eating out, going to the theatre with overnight stays in Glasgow and holidays abroad. Lorna also enjoys board and card games.

Lorna requires support with cooking meals, household tasks and some of her personal care, and is looking for someone who is motivated and in turn will creatively help motivate her. Lorna also requires support at this time in her life to try new things both within her home and out in the community.

Lorna is looking for a Support Practitioner who :

Essential for the role is that you can demonstrate the following :

  • Work in a person centred way
  • Understand the importance of family involvement and multi-agency working
  • An understanding that all behaviour is communication
  • Has excellent communication and written skills
  • Can work as part of a small team

Desirable

  • An understanding or experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities and Autism
  • SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this

This is a really exciting and interesting opportunity for the right person. The post involves days and evenings.
