Findlay enjoys being out and about in his local community, as well as travelling into Glasgow City Centre or some days going further afield, he also enjoys spending time at home with his family and being out in his garden.  

Findlay is looking for motivated, enthusiastic and confident people to be part of his team, he wants people who will stick to the boundaries that keep him safe and help him to manage the more difficult days as he matures and moves forward with his life.

For this role and to be part of our organisation you need to be able to work effectively within a small team, you require to be flexible, approachable and respect others’ views as well as being able to express your own.  Being creative and forward thinking is an advantage as this will help with planning for Findlay

As my Support Practitioner, I have a list of essential qualities that is needed for me:

  • An understanding and/or experience of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Be available to workdays, evenings, weekends, sleepovers.
  • Carry out 1:1 support along with 2:1 support.
  • Identifying skills and areas for development.
  • Link in with Service Support Practitioner/ Service Leader.
  • Have a flexible can-do attitude.
  • Excellent and clear-communication, IT, listening and written skills.
  • Update relevant paperwork
  • I have my own car, so a drive is essential.
