We are looking for experienced and highly motivated individual to join a small team providing support to a man who lives in his own home.
Craig is active and enthusiastic and likes to be on the go, out and about, spending time with his family. Craig is keen to revisit local activities/groups in his area.
Craig enjoys going swimming, shopping, walks along the beach and in the park, holidays and time with Family.
You should have a good knowledge, understanding and experience in supporting someone with a learning disability and mental health, to run their own home, to make friends.
Ideally, you will:
Be understanding and experience of supporting someone with a learning disability and Mental Health
Have a clear understanding of how to work in a person centred way
Understand that all behaviour is communication
Have patience
Have the ability to motivate Craig
Have a Flexible approach
Not easily phased and have a calm approach
Can work in a consistent and professional manner
Have excellent communication skills
Hold a clean driving licence to drive a Motability car
Experience in this line of work
Have or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification for registration with the SSSC
In line with the Scottish Social Services Council you will be required to have or work towards an appropriate qualification in order to register with them.
You will require to be registered with the PVG scheme before being employed with our organisation.
