The social enterprise part of Partners DM2 Ayrshire have been proving that DJing is not just about beats but it can be about breaking down barriers too!
They run a group called Beat Battle DJs which gives people with learning disabilities the chance to learn how to DJ and even perform at events. The group’s goal is to make DJing a more accessible hobby for people with disabilities.
38-year-old Paul Garrod regularly attends the group he said:
“I love Beat Battle DJs because it gets me outside of the house doing my favourite thing. I find the group meaningful because it is my favourite hobby that I can do with my friends.”
Thanks to #NationalLottery players Paul can continue doing the thing he loves.
